Newsline is a nightly news bulletin made by RMIT students in collaboration with Channel 31.
As part of working on Newsline I continued to build on skills I’d already established through working on a number of community television productions for C31 and from work done at RMIT. This includes scripting, editing overlay, filming overlay, autocue operation and on-camera presentation.
As the program’s state political reporter, I interviewed the CEO of the Victorian Tenant’s Union Mark O’Brien. I questioned him about the union’s response to the Andrews’ government’s proposed rental reforms that will have a major impact on our young audience. Check it out below:
